She's building a world of young people with powers, like Marvel's X-Men or New Mutants many years ago. The children have banded together to protect the island they live on from the 'black ink' which seems to embody depression. Polly can open doors into people's psychic worlds, and fight the black ink. The story begins developing a bit faster by this book. You definitely should read the earlier ones first.Product details

The story of Sanctuary Island is getting complex. Polly has so many mysteries to discover. This volume is full of action and new characters arrive to help. I just love Zahira so much. She's my favorite now and I would love to see her story made into a book too.
Polly gathers her friends to fight the Black Ink and visit more worlds. It's an exciting chapter. We learn so much about the other characters and their superpowers. It's easy to match our personality at least with one of the characters. Perfect to explore in the classroom or as a family activity.
polly is awsome! i really enjoyed the beautiful graphics and the characters are very good. the plot is very interesting! it is a great present for anyone who loves and dreams colors.
I loved how characters (both old and new) were given further development. I especially loved where Vanessa went with Mr. Grey.
The new character, Kyle, was an interesting addition. No spoilers, but I will say that in a story and world like Polly's, Kyle is the type of character you often need to have while a lot of authors forget that. Really looking forward to what role he plays down the line.
